Synergie is a veterinary-specific consulting company that provides services to veterinary practices wishing to grow their practice and achieve strategic goals. Synergie is a team of veterinary experienced professionals with over 100 years of cumulative experience, comprised of veterinarians, CVPMs, and credentialed veterinary technicians. This diversity allows Synergie to provide consulting that is project-based only or consulting that focuses on the whole team and organic growth.
Heather Prendergast, President, is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and has been in the veterinary industry for over 30 years, with 20 years in small animal practice. She has taught for several years for both veterinary technology and assistance programs and has authored the book “Practice Management for the Veterinary Team”, with the 4th edition releasing in the summer of 2024 (previously called Front Office Management for the Veterinary Team). Heather has also authored the book “Review Questions and Answers for Veterinary Technicians” a prep book to help veterinary technology graduates prepare for their VTNE, now in its 6th edition.
Heather is well known and lectures nationally and internationally and has authored many articles with the goal of developing leadership and culture in practices while employing appropriate team leveraging to increase efficiency and workflow optimization in the veterinary practice.
She instructs the Practice Management courses with Appalachian State University, serves as President-Elect with the Viticus Group (formally known as WVC) Board of Directors, as Secretary with the Pet Nutrition Alliance, and as a Board Director with NAVTA.
Brie Sleasman joined the Synergie team with years of experience in the front end of the veterinary practice. Customer Service was her passion and led her to larger organizations where she became the leader of the practice support team, excelling at PIMs navigation, conversions, data extraction, inventory analysis, engineering and delivering communication structure, and project management.
Kimberly White brings years of veterinary experience to Synergie, filling roles of kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, and a customer service receptionist. Through determination and dedication, she progressed through these roles, eventually finding her niche as Practice Manager. As she continued to grow in this role, she founded a deep-seated passion for coaching and helping others achieve their maximal skill regardless of the role they served in. Today, Kimberly has coached over 300 practices and Practice Managers across the United States with her primary focus on culture, leadership, and team development that helps the practice achieve its strategic goals
