Heather Prendergast
Heather is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and has been in the veterinary industry for over 30 years, with 20 years in small animal practice. She has taught for several years for both veterinary technology and assistance programs and has authored the book “Practice Management for the Veterinary Team”, 4th edition released in the summer of 2024 (previously called Front Office Management for the Veterinary Team). Heather has also authored the book “Review Questions and Answers for Veterinary Technicians” a prep book to help veterinary technology graduates prepare for their VTNE, now in its 6th edition.
Heather is well known and lectures nationally and internationally and has authored many articles with the goal of developing leadership and culture in practices while employing appropriate team leveraging to increase efficiency and workflow optimization in the veterinary practice. Brie Sleasman
Brie brought her extensive experience in the veterinary field to the Synergie team, where she quickly became a valued member. Her passion for customer service has always been a driving force, leading her to thrive in the front-end operations of veterinary practices. Over the years, this dedication propelled her into leadership roles at larger organizations, where she led the practice support team with remarkable expertise.
Brie has honed her skills in many areas, including PIMS navigation, system conversions, data extraction, and inventory analysis. Her ability to engineer and implement effective communication structures and exceptional project management capabilities have made her a standout contributor. With her deep understanding of practice operations and a genuine commitment to excellence, Brie plays a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions and fostering meaningful connections within the industry.

Kimberly White
Kimberly brings years of veterinary experience to Synergie, filling roles of kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, and a customer service receptionist. Through determination and dedication, she progressed through these roles, eventually finding her niche as Practice Manager. As she continued to grow in this role, she founded a deep-seated passion for coaching and helping others achieve their maximal skill regardless of the role they served in. Today, Kimberly has coached over 300 practices and Practice Managers across the United States with her primary focus on culture, leadership, and team development that helps the practice achieve its strategic goals.
Courtney Hamilton
Courtney Hamilton is an LVT with over 15 years of industry experience both in practice and dedicated recruiting – Courtney knows what makes a great hire. She has a passion for animal welfare and a deep understanding of the veterinary field. She specializes in connecting top-tier veterinary professionals with innovative practices. With over 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, she has successfully partnered with General, Specialty, and Emergency practices to identify and recruit exceptional veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and support staff. She is dedicated to fostering diverse and inclusive teams that enhance patient care and promote a collaborative work environment. Kim Lance
Kim Lance brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Synergie. Her career has focused on leadership, education, business analytics, and safety/compliance. With career-spanning roles as a veterinary technician, hospital administrator, and multi-site operations lead, Kim has cultivated a deep understanding of the intricacies of veterinary practice. Her passion is helping practices discover practical solutions for their challenges. She breaks down complex information into actionable insights, empowering practices to achieve their goals.
An accomplished professional, Kim is a registered veterinary technician and certified veterinary practice manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology and hospital management from St. Petersburg College in Florida. She is pursuing a master’s in veterinary biomedical science, focusing on data analytics and regulatory affairs at Kansas State University. Kim is also recognized as an Elite Fear Free Certified professional and is an active member of VSPN, VHMA, and NAVTA.
